Contact Details

Avonside Engineering was established in Melksham in 1984 to provide a general machine shop service to many of the local companies and quickly gained a reputation for providing a very quick turnaround service particularly in a breakdown environment.

This often involved a customer turning up with a box of broken bits and their production line stopped. Avonside would then manufacture new parts to enable the customer to get back into production as quickly as possible, saving them significant money on not having to wait for an OEM part. Also the replacement part generally turned out to be a lot cheaper than the original supplier!

Avonside have expanded significantly since 1984 and now operate in a 4500 sq.ft modern workshop in Melksham and continue to offer the breakdown service but have expanded into CNC turning and milling and now offer anything from 1 off prototype components through to batch work.

Avonside have invested in ONECNC cad/cam software for turning and milling which allows us to be able to produce programs quickly and accurately often from 3D models. File types that we can work with are :  (.DGN)  (.DXF) (IGS .Iges) (.VDA .Vdafs) (.STP .Step) (.3DM) (.SAT) (.STL) We also produce drawings for some of our customers in 2D & 3D models.
